Doug is a passionate security advocate with over 25 years’ experience in the vendor space. In July 2021, Doug started his own consultancy, Platinum7, focusing on Salesforce Security, Compliance and Resilience. Before this he spent the previous 13 years at Salesforce, in the UK and Australia, as a Platform and Security Specialist and the last four of those years as the leader of that team across APAC. During that time, he has helped many large and small customers in the Financial, Health, Utility and Public sectors understand Salesforce's approach to security and infrastructure and guided them on maximising the security of the data that they store on the Salesforce Platform. This led him to start his consultancy as he saw a gap in the market for a focused Salesforce Security specialist. He has assisted over 70 customers around the world, from smaller Not For Profit organisations, through medium to large financial services customers, and onto large, multinational pharmaceutical and telecommunication companies.
